Hello!
My name is Osa Rosti, and I'm a papier-mâché artist.

My journey with papier-mâché started in kindergarten, where I made my first puppet head. I still remember the joy of shaping something with my hands from such a simple material. Little did I know then that this would turn into a lifelong passion.

I studied Silversmithing, Jewellery Design, and Allied Crafts at London Guildhall University, graduating in 2003. While exploring different mediums, I kept returning to papier-mâché. Its accessibility and versatility fascinated me—just paper, glue, and a bit of creativity, and the possibilities are endless!

For over 15 years, I’ve been creating sculptures, wall hangings, and home décor pieces, from tiny ornaments to life-sized works. I work with both traditional papier-mâché techniques: layering strips and using my own custom pulp recipes, which make my pieces strong and durable. With the right care, they can last a lifetime—just like the ancient papier-mâché artifacts that have survived for over 2,000 years.

My latest collections focuses on decorative wall masks, inspired by the rich history of mask-making across cultures. I love to experiment with whimsical designs, bold colors, and asymmetrical shapes, always aiming to bring a sense of playfulness and magic to my work.

Creating with my hands has always been my passion, and nothing makes me happier than bringing colorful, joyful pieces to life that make people smile.
